What is your current daily routine for your business? Making changes in any area of our lives takes commitment, commitment to the goal and to the actions necessary to bring it to fruition. Those actions then have to become part of your daily routine. How do you make the decisions and commitments around the new year? For most of us January is the time to take a fresh look at our lives and businesses and determine where we want to go next.

 Create Good Daily Routines

Here are a few questions that can begin the process for you. What can you celebrate about 2010? What did you not like about 2010–what can you learn from that? Now what can you do differently? Remember the only thing you have control over is yourself. What did you not do in 2010 that you are committed to do this year?
Where are your commitments for 2011? Now put your actions where your mouth is. What can you do everyday to move your dreams in the right direction? These must become habits. Much like every morning your brush your teeth. You don’t think to yourself, hmmm, should I brush my teeth today, no you just do it. It is part of your daily routine. If in fact you will simply write your goals down you will be more likely to achieve them. And you will be in the minority of the 3% of people who have written goals. Go figure…

Creating Your Daily Routine

How do you determine what those daily routine actions must be? Take out a sheet of paper and do a braindump of every item you would need to take action on to bring your goals to life. Now look at your daily routine and find a way for you to include the needed actions to keep you moving forward. This can include reviewing your goals everyday. Repetition is an effective way to “plant” a goal in the non-conscious mind. This is where the law of attraction will begin to show up for you.
Want to take it to the next level? Write your story as if you have already achieved those goals before you. Use as much detail as possible, what it feels like, what the environment looks like, what others say, etc. Once you have created this narrative add it into your daily routine by reading daily. It will stir your emotions. Emotion is a goal-turbocharger.
This is what I know for certain, to make significant changes in your life and business you must make changes in your daily routine. If you incorporate the actions you identified into your daily routine there will be no stopping you.
