Solopreneurs spend most of their working time alone and know one holds them accountable to how they spend that time.
Want to give yourself a higher likelihood of achieving your goals? Find someone to be accountable to other than just yourself. I have a question for you, “what if I were to follow you with a camera crew 24 hours a day 7 days a week for the next 30 days while you went for your goals?” I can tell you, you would probably behave a little differently….

  • You would BEGIN doing the things you BELIEVE you need to do.
  • You would ELIMINATE the things you know you shouldn’t be doing.
  • You would IMPROVE your overall performance in your life and business.

Accountability keeps you focused on your commitments. Accountability helps to eliminate the excuses used previously, preventing follow through. It ensures that what you want to accomplish is more likely what you take action on.
How can you ensure that accountability? Find an accountability partner, someone who is in a similar situation so that you can support each other. Find a coach that will provide tough love by not letting you off the hook. Or find a mastermind group where the members are committed to the success of each other.
It all begins with the commitment. If you are truly committed to your dreams then give yourself every opportunity to succeed.

Until one is committed there is hesitancy,
the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness
Concerning all acts of initiative and creation
there is one elementary truth,
the ignorance of which kills countless ideas
and splendid plans:
that the moment one commits oneself,
then Providence moves, too.

All sorts of things occur to help one
that would otherwise have never occurred.
A whole stream of events issues from the decision,
of unforeseen incidents and meetings,
and material assistance
which no man could have dreamt would have come his way

I have a deep respect for one of Goethe’s couplets:

“Whatever you can do, or dream you can—begin it.
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.”
– W.H. Murray
